On December 2, 2024, the Belt and Road Science Teacher Training Workshop was successfully held at University of the Western Cape in South Africa. The event was organized by the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Science Center and the China Youth Science Educators Association, and hosted by the Belt and Road International Science Education Coordination Committee, Zhejiang Normal University, and the University of the Western Cape.
Focusing on “Innovative Science Education,” the workshop featured two key themes: Line-Following Cars and Water Rocket Technology Workshop. Science teachers from various Belt and Road countries participated enthusiastically, engaging in hands-on activities and in-depth discussions. They explored new educational concepts and advanced teaching methods, enhancing their scientific inquiry and innovative teaching skills.
This workshop aims to advance the educational dimension of the Belt and Road Initiative. Participants expressed their determination to apply the knowledge gained in their classrooms, offering students more engaging and inspiring science education experiences.
