Introduction
Through depictions of various industries of strawberries, lotuses, bamboos, flowers, village operation, Bed and Breakfast hotels (B&B); film-TV city, express delivery, pastry, and electronic commerce, the project of "Thriving Business in Zhejiang" narrates the story of Zhejiang people’s striving to fulfill their dreams under the leadership of the CPC and the people’s government. The purpose is to demonstrate the lucid waters and lush mountains as invaluable assets of Zhejiang, the achievements and great sense of responsibility of the Zhejiang government, the hard work and wisdom of Zhejiang entrepreneurs along with the progress made by China. As cultural messengers, the international students in the program help with farm work, work as live streaming hosts, help in kitchens and pastry shops, deliver parcels at various places such as farms, factories, shops, B&Bs and scenic spots to experience in person why those goods can sell well and how businesses bring in fortune from the perspectives of both consumers and businesspersons.
The project comprises six 40-minute video lessons. They are created based on the framework outlined in Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education (The Standard for short) for intermediate Level-4. The video lessons are both the carrier of China’s stories and the coursebook for teaching Chinese.

For those who cannot attend the daytime lessons but still need interactions with the teachers, they can attend night-time catch-up lessons. Students who sign up early can preview the video lessons first. The live streaming lessons from January 27th to February 2nd will use the content of the video lessons as the textbook.
