On October 17, the South Africa China Literature Reading Club hosted a discussion on the Chinese literary work "To Live", engaging local university students in exploring Chinese literary classics. The debate encouraged a deep dive into the novel's plot, characters, and themes and prompted comparisons between historical and contemporary China, highlighting China's evolution over seventy years. Attendees from various backgrounds shared insights, especially noting the philosophical and moral questions posed by "To Live" and their relevance to real life.
